Shandur Top (Elevation: 12,200 ft.) is a high mountain pass that connects Chitral to the Gilgit in Pakistan. The top is flat, a plateau and can be crossed between late April and early November. The grade is very gradual, and the area is crossed by small streams of trout. Grazing in summer is plentiful. Every year there is a polo match played on Shandur Top between a team from Chitral and a team from Gilgit. Shandur Top is one of the four major mountain passes to enter Chitral. The others are Dorah Pass from Badakshan in Afghanistan, Lowari Pass from Dir, and Broghol from the Wakhan Corridor in Afghanistan. The people who live on both sides of Shandur Top speak the Khowar language.

Day 01: 06 Jul (Tue) Islamabad – Chitral
Take flight PK-660 at 0700 to Chitral. On arrival at 0800 Hrs transfer to hotel. After lunch visit Miri Mosque, Chitral Fort & Chitral Bazaar. Overnight at hotel
DAY 02: 07 Jul (Wed) Chitral – Shandur Pass
After breakfast drive to Shandur Pass (5-6 Hours). On arrival transfer to camp site/PTDC Motel Mastuj. Overnight camping at Shandur or at PTDC Motel in Mastuj (Approx 40 km) short of Shandur.
DAY 03: 08 Jul (Thu) Full day Shandur Polo Festival
Full day Shandur Polo. Overnight camping or same as above
DAY 04: 09 Jul (Fri) Shandur Pass - Chitral
After breakfast half day at Shandur, enjoy Final Polo Match. After Polo Match drive to Chitral (Approx 5-6 Hrs drive). Overnight at Chitral
DAY 05: 10 Jul (Sat) Chitral - Islamabad
After breakfast transfer to airport to take flight to Islamabad. End of Tour

Flight is subject to good weather:
- In case of flight cancellation (Islamabad – Chitral), kindly get yourself registered on PIA counter at the airport for the next day’s flight, if so desired.
- Return air ticket to be confirmed at the airport on arrival through Hotel/Guide
- In case of flight cancellation (Chitral – Islamabad), we shall wait for the next day’s flight. However, there will be extra charge for accommodation and meals or the group may leave by road to Islamabad with 01 night stay en-route at Dir. This extra cost shall be adjusted against the cost of one-way airfare.
